Change through Writing

​My goal as a writer is to use the power of words to promote change in the world. This means progress in how we do education, business, health, politics ... everything to reunite humanity and bring power back to us all, rather than to a select few.

I've been writing professionally since 2001, and continue to work on a paid basis for almost any kind of writing. But now I am offering my writing services for FREE where it will help to fight injustice and push back on old forces holding us back.

Obviously I am limited by time, and may only help with 1-2 projects each month for now. That means I will have to choose from submissions if I get too many. But I want to give something back with this service. If I find there is a lot of demand, I may look for ways to offer this more extensively.

Types of Projects NOT Included

​Here are examples of projects where I would NOT help for free:

• You want to have a wedding speech written.
• You want to have a business proposal written ... even if it's for a non-profit idea.
• You need a fundraising letter written for your non-profit organization.
• You're unhappy with a store's return policy and want to write a letter of complaint.

Types of Projects Included

​Here are examples of projects where I WOULD help for free:

• A law has passed or may be passed that obviously works against the good of the people to the benefit of some special interest. You want to share a pre-written letter that many people will be able to send addressing this issue. Or you want to write something about it on a site like Change.org.
• A small legal firm has taken on pro bono work to assist with an issue facing many people, even if this initial case is just for one person. (To set a precedent, for instance.) This legal firm can show that it's understaffed to do certain writing while convincing me of the value of the case.
• The established media or government are pushing an issue on partial or manipulated facts, directing policy in a way that will hurt the people. You have a platform (website, speaking opportunity, etc.) that allows you to reach many people about this, and want a hand with the words.
