Natural Pain Relief
If you don't know it already, prescription and Over The Counter (OTC) pain killers don't just kill pain. They kill people too. (NSAIDS like Advil, Aspirin, etc. kill 15,000 Americans every year and hospitalize more than 100,000.) These products also create a lot of other problems, like liver disease, kidney problems, internal bleeding, stomach ulcers, etc.
Meanwhile, most of the rubs out there are glorified globs of menthol, which gives that cooling / burning sensation. They also tend to use too much, which increases your pain threshold with time and requires you to use more and more before they work. (And by the way ... most of them make you stink.) So I'm a big fan of finding something without dangerous ingredients and something that actually provides the body with what it needs to heal, rather than just masking the pain. I also want to avoid problems of increasing pain thresholds. Blue Emu is possibly the most progressive of the famous brands. Emu oil helps to carry ingredients deep into the skin for better results. It also helps to reduce inflammation. Meanwhile, Blue Emu includes aloe, glucosamine, and MSM, along with some other botanicals. There is NO menthol in the original, which many people want for its short-term benefits. Its advanced sport formula does away with the botanicals but adds menthol and a homeopathic remedy called arnica. (Some people don't believe in homeopathy. Those of us who grew up with arnica swear by it.) The problem I have with Blue Emu is that it still includes things that the natural wellness community tries to avoid, like artificial colors and parabens. |
Real Time Pain Relief
Luckily, there's another product that avoids those problem ingredients, includes the benefits of menthol, and includes a number of other fantastic ingredients. Real Time Pain Relief includes emu oil, aloe, glucosamine, and MSM. But it also includes chondroitin (which is usually used with glucosamine for the joints), menthol, capsicum (from chili peppers), witch hazel, and willow bark (the original, natural basis of aspirin).
It also includes arnica and other homeopathics for those interested in this aspect of it.
It also does NOT include colors, parabens, or sodium lauryl sulfate.
And unlike any of the competition I'm familiar with, it doesn't stink. In fact, it smells great, and when I need to put some on, I enjoy the smell.
The company also has some related products for the hands, the feet, and for more serious pain -- in fact, their Maxx product sponsors and is used by bull riders. Yeah. (That one has peppermint in it. I haven't tried it, but want to just for that.)
So now, without warning labels about liver and kidney damage, without other questionable ingredients, and without stink, you have a really powerful pain relief option.
I used to link to this product as an affiliate, but that is no longer an option. However, I still believe in the product and want to share it with you, so here you go:
