In my science fiction novel, Darwood & Smitty and the Multi-World Agenda, a global government is established -- based on international trade -- in 2020. It's a tenuous situation, but the fact of formalized global unity triggers a solar law, and life from the rest of the solar system is publicly revealed.
While this life mainly just engages with corporations and governments, it is suddenly known as a fact by all people.
So since the book's publication in 2010, I've often casually said that we'll all know about life from other planets by 2020. After all, it's in the book.
Now there are plenty of people who think that governments are already aware of and/or working with alien / extra-terrestrial / interdimensional life (call it what you will). And the interesting thing is that with today's solar eclipse, thousands if not millions of people will engage in a global meditation for disclosure.
This isn't just about alien life. It's about exposing the secrets and corruptions of governments. If there are any, I mean.
So what do you think? Can we raise enough mass intent to influence how things are run? Can we push for top-down change within the government by bottom-up change within ourselves? And will humanity become publicly aware of alien life by 2020? Or will you be so bold as to say there is no alien life and risk the peals of laughter by the Martians and a good thumping by the Jovians?
