Memorial Day's our time in the U.S. to honor our fallen soldiers. For me, I honor all the soldiers around the world who risk their lives for those they love.
Now there are a lot of wars I don't believe in, and a lot of people who put us into wars for the wrong reasons. Propaganda then convinces people that they're in it for one reason when in fact there are probably many reasons, and it's easy to rally around that ideal and forget about the misery of war for both sides. So for the soldiers who fight because their country told them to, or because they think they're fighting for a good cause, I have to admire their willingness to put their lives on the line for the sake of others.
For those who actually create our needs to go to war, I admire you a good deal less.
